The Salesforce Media Cloud Winter ’26 release brings a wave of enhancements designed to help media organizations streamline advertising sales, optimize forecasting, and manage inventory with greater precision. From smarter planning tools to deeper visibility into revenue and ad space data, this release is about giving media teams the confidence and agility they need to succeed.
Here are the five biggest highlights from Winter ’26:
1. Smarter Revenue Forecasting with Broadcast Calendars
Revenue forecasting is enhanced with Broadcast Calendar Forecasting. Teams can now align consumption-based forecasts to either industry-standard broadcast calendars or company-specific fiscal calendars. This helps connect forecasts to real-world consumption for better pricing and resource decisions.
2. Real-Time Advertising Inventory Management
With Winter ’26, the Advertising Inventory Management app evolves into a central hub for inventory control. Sales teams gain a unified calendar view to pitch, reserve, and release ad slots. Automated logic ensures unused reservations are released promptly, while support for models such as Fixed Placement, Impression-Based, Time-Based, and Share of Voice enables more flexible campaign planning.
New Media Cloud objects—AdSpace, AdSpaceCapacity, and AdSpaceCapacityAllocation—track availability and allocation to give planners clearer visibility into inventory usage.
3. Faster, More Accurate Media Plan Execution
Advertising Sales Management now streamlines media planning. A dedicated ad sales pricing procedure ensures accurate placement price calculations, with real-time updates and attribute rules guiding planners to the best options.
Agencies can now build media plans directly on Experience Cloud sites for faster publisher–agency collaboration. Other enhancements include asynchronous updates that prevent overwrites, bundle pricing improvements, automated targeting cleanup, and the ability to copy media plans with inherited pricing.
4. Flexible and Reliable Revenue Schedules
Revenue schedules offer more clarity into realized and projected earnings. Monthly schedules can be generated across the opportunity lifecycle, consolidating booked, billed, and delivered revenue in a single view. Future commitments now auto-adjust based on actual performance, improving forecast accuracy.
New fields such as StartDate, EndDate, and AdjustedAmount on the OpportunityLineItemSchdActual object give finance and sales teams more precision in tracking and adjustments.
5. Enhanced Media Planning Grid
Finally, the Media Planning Grid in the Managed Package has been upgraded to capture more placement details and support multi-language usability through new custom labels. This enables smoother collaboration for global teams. Admins upgrading to Winter ’26 should ensure the new sfiAdsDataGrid labels are deployed.
Final Thoughts
The Winter ’26 release empowers media organizations to better forecast revenue, optimize sales processes, and manage inventory with clarity and efficiency. Alongside API-based integration with external ad servers and inventory systems, these innovations help media teams operate with greater agility and precision.
