Beyond Deployment: Building a Sustainable Agentforce Strategy

Over the past several Salesforce releases, the Agentforce conversation has centered on what AI agents can do.

Winter ’27 raises a more important question:

Salesforce is making Agentforce increasingly embedded in the platform, easier to deploy, and more capable of interacting with users and business processes.

That means the technical barrier to creating agents is getting lower. The governance challenge is getting bigger.

Moving From Experimentation to Production

Agentforce is being enabled more broadly for eligible Salesforce organizations, while new deployment capabilities make it easier to move agents and their dependencies between environments.

Salesforce is also giving organizations greater control over how agents communicate and behave across different channels.

These are important improvements. But they also make it easier for organizations to move quickly from one AI pilot to multiple production agents.

That is where Palladin sees clients needing a broader strategy.

Building an impressive demo is relatively straightforward. Operating an agent that has access to customer data, takes business actions, hands work to employees, and produces measurable results requires much more thought.

The Agent Is Only One Part of the Architecture

A successful Agentforce deployment requires decisions around data access, permissions, guardrails, escalation, testing, deployment, ownership, monitoring, and measurement.

Organizations also need to determine which processes should be handled by AI, which should remain human-led, and where an agent should stop and ask for help.

Palladin helps clients address these questions before AI becomes another layer of technology that is difficult to manage.

We work across Salesforce architecture, business processes, data, automation, and Agentforce so that agents are designed around the environment they will actually operate in, not simply the functionality available in a demo.

Build an Operating Model, Not Just an Agent

Winter ’27 makes Agentforce easier to deploy. That does not mean organizations should deploy faster without the right foundations.

The companies that gain the most value from Agentforce will be the ones that build repeatable standards for how agents are created, tested, governed, deployed, measured, and improved.
